 Jesus said, "As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world." (John 17:18) Again and again scripture calls us to see that we have influence, and it is to be used to point others to Jesus – to love and lead others to Jesus. This is part of our path at Lamb’s. In the area of influence – we want our people to influence others to make their next step towards Jesus – and we want our people to influence others to experience a life-changing connection with Christ by coming and being a part of the life of this body. We also want to express the love of Christ out in our community and in far away places – to change the world however God leads us – by expressing His great love in practical ways. Sometimes we live out our 'influence' through formal sending of missions teams and carrying out community service projects. Sometimes it will happen at the individual level only as the Holy Spirit directs. But let the love rip! Practically speaking, we carry out this ideal of 'influence' through going on local and border-crossing missions trips to places like Mexico and Ethiopia, and supporting missionaries locally and internationally who are living out their calling as influencers. We provide finances and prayer for those we support. Our M.E.R.C.Y. Team reaches out locally, and our Good Sam Fund is another way we influence our community for good in Jesus' name.
