Jesus told the story of the Good Samaritan - illustrating the need to take care of those who are in need, not ignore them. At Lamb's, we have established a fund called "Good Sam" so that we can help families in our church and community when need arises. We have been able to pay gas bills, electric bills, buy groceries, and help with other needs through this small, but growing, fund. People in our church with a heart to help others can contribute to the Good Sam fund at any time with a contribution simply marked as such. Further, any cash dollars received in the weekly offering are specifically deposited into our Good Sam fund for Good Sam use. Our Pastoral Staff exercises discretion as to assessing these needs and responding with Good Sam help. |
